Confirming your address does one thing only: it allows your site to be published. You can work without it, but not go live. If the message does not arrive, work through this order.
-
Check your junk folder
This is cause number one. Automated messages often land there the first time. Mark it as “not junk”: the following ones will arrive normally.
-
Ask for a resend
The “Confirm your address” page has a resend button. You may use it several times.
-
Check the registered address
The page shows the address we are writing to. One missing letter explains everything.
-
Wait a few minutes
Some providers delay automated messages by several minutes at busy hours.
If the registered address is wrong
Your account address cannot be changed from your space. Write to the Support Centre from any other address, giving the wrong address and the right one: our team makes the change.
Avoid Do not open a second account to work around this. Your site, your images and any subscription would stay attached to the first one, and you would have to write to us anyway to bring them together.
Some local providers filter automated messages heavily. A Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo address is safer for a business account.
