The “Publish” button does not work

Only two conditions block publishing: a site address not chosen, or an email address not confirmed.

Publishing is never refused for a mysterious reason. The product knows only two, and the screen tells you which applies.

“Choose your site address first”

A live site needs a public address. Go to “My site”, the address section, choose yours and save it. Publishing becomes possible straight away.

“Confirm your email address to publish”

Open the link emailed to you when you registered. If you no longer have it, the confirmation page sends it again. This requirement protects your site: it guarantees we can reach you.

What does NOT block publishing

Contrary to a widespread belief, none of these prevents anything:

  • an incomplete site — the completeness bar is a guide, not a condition;
  • empty sections — they simply do not appear;
  • having no photos — the template provides default visuals;
  • not having paid — the 30 days trial starts at publication.

Avoid Publishing does not mean “finished”. A published site stays editable at any moment, and every change is visible immediately. Better to publish a decent site early than to keep a perfect one invisible for months.

If neither message appears and the button does nothing, reload the page: an expired session produces that behaviour.
