The Professional domain offer includes one email address on your domain, with 15 GB of space. It is never billed separately: its renewal follows the domain’s.
Choosing your address
You choose it when ordering — “contact”, “info”, “direction”, or whatever you like. If you choose nothing, “contact” is proposed.
You can still change it AS LONG AS the mailbox is not active, from the “Professional email accounts” screen. Once active, it receives mail: changing it freely would lose messages, so the change then goes through the Support Centre.
Avoid Some names are refused: postmaster, abuse, admin, webmaster, noreply and a few others. These are technical addresses the domain operator must keep, required by internet rules.
A mailbox’s states
- “Awaiting payment” — ordered, invoice unpaid.
- “Being created” — paid. The mailbox does not exist at the provider yet; our team creates it.
- “Active” — created and usable.
- “Suspended” — the renewal was not paid. Nothing is deleted.
- “Cancelled” — the service has ended.
How you reach it
Your login details are sent to you by our team once the mailbox is created, outside this platform. Professionnalisable NEVER keeps your mailbox password — not in clear text, not encrypted, not in its logs.
That is why your space shows your address and its state, but neither your messages, nor a sign-in button, nor a reset button. Your space manages the address; it does not read your mail.
Your mailbox shows as “Active” but you never received your login details? Write to the Support Centre: it is the only route, and it is a fast one.
Adding another address
From the “Professional email accounts” screen you can order more addresses on the same domain, at 10 $ a year each, with the same 15 GB of space.
As with the domain, an invoice is issued and the mailbox is created only after payment. Each extra address has its own annual renewal; the address included in the offer has none.
Avoid Professional email accounts require a domain actually in service. While your domain is not active, the screen says so and no address can be created — we do not sell an address on a domain that has not been bought yet.
An address is unique on your domain: two people cannot both have “contact@”. For a team, think “firstname@” rather than variations on “contact”.
