Ordering your professional domain

Search a name, choose your email address, pay the invoice. Nothing is bought before your payment.

You order from your space, under “Domain”. A domain belongs to a BUSINESS, not to an account: if you run several sites, start by picking the one concerned.

The steps

  1. Search a name

    Enter the name you want, without an extension. Lowercase letters, digits and hyphens.

  2. Read the availability

    Each offered extension — .com, .org, .net, .info — is marked “seems available” or “seems already taken”.

  3. Choose your email address

    The address included in the offer is chosen here. Optional: otherwise “contact” is proposed, and you can still change it.

  4. Order

    An invoice is issued and you are taken to its payment screen.

  5. Pay

    By mobile money, like your other invoices.

Nothing is bought before your payment

That is the central rule of this offer. Until the invoice is settled, your order carries the state “Awaiting payment”: no name has been bought, and nothing is held for you yet. The domain is ordered from the registrar as soon as your payment arrives.

Avoid A name available today can be taken tomorrow by someone else. If the name matters to you, do not leave the invoice waiting.

“Seems available” — why that word

The check is indicative. It queries DNS, which finds names actually in service, but not those reserved without being used. A name shown as available may therefore turn out to be unavailable at purchase. If that happens, our team contacts you: there is nothing for you to watch.

If the name you wanted is taken

Look for a precise variant rather than a generic name. An address that says who you are and where you are is easier to remember:

  • add your city — “garage-mukendi-lubumbashi”;
  • add your trade — “mukendi-plumbing”;
  • try another extension among .com, .org, .net, .info.

What ordering changes about your subscription

The annual offer replaces that site’s monthly subscription: you will not pay both. The month already paid stays yours, and your site keeps running without interruption.

A site can hold only one domain at a time. If an order is already awaiting payment, the screen sends you back to its invoice instead of issuing a second one.
