After you declare the session finished, the request stays “awaiting confirmation”. Many clients simply do not think to validate: as far as they are concerned the session happened, so the matter is closed.
Confirmation becomes automatic
With no answer from the client, the session is validated automatically after 3 days. Your commission is then recorded exactly as if the client had clicked. There is nothing for you to do, and no reminder to send.
If the client disputes
They can open a dispute while the session is “to confirm”, that is during the 3 days following your declaration. Settlement is then suspended while it is examined. Your material counts: the recorded start and end times, the client context you filled in, the state of the site before and after.
Avoid That is precisely why the client context is filled in during the session and not after. A note written at the time is worth infinitely more than a memory reconstructed three weeks later.
Reviews are a separate matter
The client may review you as soon as the session is recognised as done, with no deadline. A review blocks no payment: it stays attached to your profile, only one is possible per session, and they can correct it for 7 days.
At the end of the session, simply tell the client they will get a confirmation request and that it takes ten seconds. Technicians who say so rarely wait.
